#StarMusicTrek: Yemi Alade and Seyi Shay to battle at Lagos finale

Weeks after they both dazzled in different areas at the MTV Africa Music Awards in South Africa, two of the top female acts in Nigeria are set to battle again for attention at the grand finale of the Star Music trek in Lagos.
In South Africa, Yemi Alade won the Best Female act and Seyi Shay produced a spectacular performance on stage with American music star, Neyo but both energetic singers will be hoping to win the hearts of fans who will turn up for the Lagos leg of the Star Music Trek.
They will join other top acts including 2face, Sound Sultan, Burna Boy, Sean Tizzle and DJ Xclusive. While both singers have maintained a cordial relationship, many are of the opinion that the battle for top spot is on with Mavin first lady, Tiwa Savage somewhat out of the scene after recently giving birth to her first child.

It's been 25 years since Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait

A quarter century ago, after Saddam Hussein's Iraqi army successfully invaded and took over the tiny Persian Gulf nation of Kuwait, President George H.W. Bush famously drew a line in the sand against Iraqi aggression. While the United States and its allies easily ejected Iraq from Kuwait within seven months of the Aug. 2, 1990, invasion, Bush's line has continued onward in an almost Biblical fashion, accompanied by plenty of pre-modern horrors. The Gulf War begat the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which begat the US invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, which begat ISIS, which begat a potential future war with Iran or Syria or even what remains of Iraq.
