Amaechi denies criticizing Buhari over appointments, arrives Port Harcourt
Former governor of Rivers state, Chibuike Amaechi has rubbished the rumour that he flew to London on Friday in rage because he was not appointed in any of the key positions announced by President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a bid to dismiss the rumour peddled online the former Governor arrived Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital on Saturday.
Amaechi who is in Rivers on a private visit came to attend the opening of St. Vincent Due Paul Catholic Church, Elechi beach Port Harcourt.
The former Governor Amaechi was received at the airport by Dakuku Peterside, the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) and other party faithfuls later in the day.
While speaking with journalists shortly after arriving the state, he expressed his disappointment that people were spreading false information without confirming the news.
He is expected to address APC supporters at the Empowerment Support Initiative, ESI, office at Woji road, Port Harcourt, after a private audience with Dakuku Peterside.
The former Governor was still at church service at time of filing this report.
