  • Tonight Saturday August 29, 2015 Hennessy Artistry is throwing down an Exclusive R&B concert at Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos with singer Praiz as the headliner. He’ll be joined by other R&B singers including Bez, Waje, Simi, Adekunle Gold, Brymo, Byno and others, while Darey Art Alade will be the host.
  •  It’s also the grand finale of the Star Music Trek in Lagos tonight holding at the Gbagada open field in Ifako Gbagada, Lagos with Superstars like 2face, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Dj Xclusive, Gbenga Adeyinka and others on hand to thrill guests.
  • On Sunday August 30, 2015 the long awaited Lauryn Hill concert will hold at Eko Hotels, Lagos with performances from pop stars like Sound Sultan, Banky W, Tekno, Iyanya, 2face, Seyi Shay and other.
  •  Finally, on Sunday August 30, 2015, the 2015 Beat of Lagos concert will hold at Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island. The concert will be headlined by Choc City super stars led by M.I Abaga, Ice Prince, Jesse Jags, Kokeramong others..

It's been 25 years since Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait

A quarter century ago, after Saddam Hussein's Iraqi army successfully invaded and took over the tiny Persian Gulf nation of Kuwait, President George H.W. Bush famously drew a line in the sand against Iraqi aggression. While the United States and its allies easily ejected Iraq from Kuwait within seven months of the Aug. 2, 1990, invasion, Bush's line has continued onward in an almost Biblical fashion, accompanied by plenty of pre-modern horrors. The Gulf War begat the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which begat the US invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, which begat ISIS, which begat a potential future war with Iran or Syria or even what remains of Iraq. At the time, however, Bush said standing up to Hussein's Iraq was necessary to protect neighboring Saudi Arabia, a key US ally and the world's largest oil producing country, both then and now.
