Mariah Carey was forced to cancel a Las Vegas concert after contracting bronchitis.
The ‘We Belong Together’ hitmaker performed the opening night of her ‘#1 to Infinity’ show at The Colosseum at the Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel and Casino last Wednesday, May 6, 2015, however, a week later she had to pull out of her proposed concert on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 after being diagnosed with the respiratory illness and being told by doctors to rest.
In an Instagram post, she said: ‘Hey guys … I’ve been fighting bronchitis for the past few days.. almost better but on mandatory vocal rest per doctor’s orders. I’m so sorry to cancel tonight’s show but I promise to make it up to you!!! Love you always, MC’
Although Mariah had no option but to pull out, some ticket holders took to social media to express their disappointment and frustration.
Mariah’s next scheduled concert is due to take place today, Saturday May 16, 2015.
