August Alsina has revealed that he is currently battling blindness. He took to Instagram to reveal that he has gone blind in his left eye and has learned the vision in his right is deteriorating.
The singer wrote: ‘So I have this eye disease.. Blind in my left, and losing vision in my right. In order to prevent my eyesight from deteriorating ihad to do this surgery. This shit is beyond painful & Life be throwin’ a nigxa curve balls but what I’ve gained from it all is priceless… A lot of things that are so natural to us in life (like waking up and being able to see ) we can take it for granted. Thank God the OG for allowing me to see.. The good the bad the ugly, I’m just glad to see [sic]’

A quarter century ago, after Saddam Hussein's Iraqi army successfully invaded and took over the tiny Persian Gulf nation of Kuwait, President George H.W. Bush famously drew a line in the sand against Iraqi aggression. While the United States and its allies easily ejected Iraq from Kuwait within seven months of the Aug. 2, 1990, invasion, Bush's line has continued onward in an almost Biblical fashion, accompanied by plenty of pre-modern horrors. The Gulf War begat the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which begat the US invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, which begat ISIS, which begat a potential future war with Iran or Syria or even what remains of Iraq.
