The Rock Speaks About Hulk Hogan's Controversial Comments — 'I'd Not Known Him To Be Racist'
A defense from an unlikely place, perhaps?!
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is defending Hulk Hogan one week after his racist rant caught on tape went viral, much to Hogan's disappointment.
And while the wrestler has already gotten support from his daughter Brooke Hogan, and given his fans a special message, he got a little love on Thursday from The Rock, too!
Talking to the press at HBO's Television Critics Association event, Johnson said of Hulk:
"I was pretty disappointed at what I heard. I've known [Hulk Hogan] for a lot of years. My dad helped train him in Florida in the '70s when he was breaking into the business. My uncles helped train him as well. So I'd not known him to be racist. It's funny, it's one of those things where—I'm not justifying what he said—but we've all talked trash. Especially in private. He said what he said and now he's paying the price."
Inneresting!
What do U think about how Johnson took Hulk's comments -- too casual?! Or is he right about talking trash?!
