Clinton to propose new prescription drug proposal this week
WASHINGTON (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton says she'll roll out a new plan this week to control the cost of prescription drugs.
The 2016 Democratic presidential front-runner said on CBS' "Face the Nation" Sunday that she often hears complaints about the "skyrocketing" costs of prescription drugs. She added that the proposal is an effort to improve on President Barack Obama's signature national health care law, which she says is working well.
Republican presidential candidates want to get rid of the law, which has been upheld by the Supreme Court and survived dozens of votes in Congress to repeal it.
