Anne Hathaway Is The Favorite To Play Mary Poppins In The Disney Remake! Find Out Which Other Leading Ladies Have Good Odds!

On Monday, Disney announced that it was developing a new live-action musical adaptation of Mary Poppins, which immediately sparked debate on which leading lady would play the magical nanny!
Mere speculation is fun, but some fans are so serious they're actually placing bets on which actress will snag the role!
On Tuesday, Ireland-based online betting firm BoyleSports announced that Anne Hathaway is the current favorite to take over Julie Andrews's famous role, with 6/4 odds! Not bad!

Other stars who bettors think would be in the running feature many A-list actresses with vocal talent, like Emily Blunt(5/2), Amy Adams (7/2), Anna Kendrick (10/1), and Kristen Bell (11/2) -- who already played the nanny in a FunnyOrDiesketch!
Other possible actresses to take the role include Amanda Seyfried (12/1), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (16/1), Lea Michele(33/1), and Anna Camp (50/1)!
We'd place our bets on any of these leading ladies, but we would LOVE it if Hathaway took over the role -- we bet herPrincess Diaries co-star Julie Andrews would totally give her blessing!

A quarter century ago, after Saddam Hussein's Iraqi army successfully invaded and took over the tiny Persian Gulf nation of Kuwait, President George H.W. Bush famously drew a line in the sand against Iraqi aggression. While the United States and its allies easily ejected Iraq from Kuwait within seven months of the Aug. 2, 1990, invasion, Bush's line has continued onward in an almost Biblical fashion, accompanied by plenty of pre-modern horrors.
